- Have you updated your import/ export compliance and procedure manual recently? - Do your import/export management and staff receive ongoing training? - Do employees involved in importing and exporting within the company know your import/export policies? - Are your HTS and Schedule B classifications correct? Do you have controls in place to check? - Do you know the true legal country of origin of your product? - Do you have procedures in place to ensure the proper duties were paid to US Customs? - Do you retain independent experts such as consultants, attorneys or customhouse brokers to audit your compliance program? - Do you know your export customer and how and where they will be using your products? - Have you reviewed your product to ensure it is not controlled for export purposes? - Have you accurrately qualified your product under the NAFTA program? - Do you maintain complete import and export records for five years? |
